The evolution of being a successful real estate agent

 


The way of being a Real Estate Agent has changed. Gone are the days of bugging friends and family about your real estate knowledge.

There is a much better way to get business being a real estate agent. Let's face it with 90% of real estate agents failing and out of business in the first 5 years the old way really does not work for most agents.

I have not personally ever done the old way (cold calling and door knocking) and have looked at doing real estate in new and improved ways.

For example I started wearing my brokerage info on patches I wear on my jeans, jackets and anything else that might get attention. That little non in your face patch lands me a lot of deals and everybody knows what I am doing for business.

I actually have people talk to me about their real estate needs with the patch and it gets me networking with more people.

There is also advertising through different platforms. I always create marketing through my own personal marketing company (not hard to set up) that way it is always with me no matter where I go to hang my Real Estate license.

You need to also watch other successful Realtors and see what they are doing for marketing.

Creating niche services that are needed in your market is another great way to get noticed. I started a Flat Fee Listing package that gets me a ton of listings. Right now I am preparing 13 listings that I got because of my unique listing package.  I also get the buy side when they are looking to move nearby. Those are great buyers because you're controlling the process and servicing their real estate needs.

These are just a few of the new and different ways I have grown my successful my real estate business over the last 22 years and 1000+ transactions.
