Amazon pushes further into real estate with Lennar smart home deal

Even Amazon knows that getting into real estate makes money, this article comes from https://www.housingwire.com/ by Ben Lane.

"Last July, the online monolith quietly tested (and then removed) a feature that would connect a potential homebuyer or seller with a real estate agent."

"And earlier this year, Amazon began exploring a move into mortgage lending. In fact, HousingWire’s Editor-in-Chief, Jacob Gaffney, reported in March that Amazon is looking to hire the head of a soon-to-be-announced mortgage division."

Amazon will be getting into real estate in a lot of different ways it looks like. They have a new Zillow type product that they have tested. If I know Amazon they will do better than other real estate sites with new cutting edge technology to get more information on a home to the end buyers.

Their mortgage company will also be different I am sure, it will be interesting to see what is coming with Amazon in their Mortgage division. How will they get your contracts and who will potential costumers be talking to?

"Amazon announced Wednesday that it is partnering with Lennar, the nation’s largest homebuilder, to launch what it calls “Amazon Experience Centers.”

"The “Experience Centers” are basically showrooms for all of Amazon’s smart home products. But instead of Amazon opening up its own brick-and-mortar showrooms, it’s partnering with Lennar to trick out model homes with Amazon gadget"
I love new technology and actually use my Amazon Alexa for a lot of information, but setting up home smart technology in their Lennar homes will give them an edge on the new home market. Let's face it coming home and talking to your home is coming sooner than later. I wonder if you will have to name your home soon?
"“Amazon’s ability to bring a home to life with Alexa smart home experiences, entertainment and services – coupled with their obsession with customer experience – is a natural extension of our Everything’s Included approach to homebuilding,” David Kaiserman, president of Lennar Ventures, said. “We picked Amazon because of our shared commitment to customers, their Amazon experts across the country, and their ability to connect customers with thousands of service providers through Amazon Home Services.”
Having a home that talks back to you might be a good thing at least they listen. Amazon Home services will change the way we look at real estate the same way they changed the shopping experience. They will be changing the home living experience for sure. Hopefully it will include doing the laundry and cleaning........
