If the weather is good and it is most of the time you can really enjoy Sundays in Cleveland. We also have a Baseball and Football. Football on Friday nights is pretty intense in the high schools. Every parent wants their kids team to be the best. I sometimes go to the local games to see the crowd and watch the games. The food is usually great and so it the community.
There are many places to shop in Cleveland that are 30 mins away from the downtown. For example Beachwood, Aurora, Strongsville, Westlake, North Olmsted, and Fairlawn have excellent shopping areas and all the stores. My favorite is Croker Park it has all the shopping and you can ever want and you can even live there. The mall is really a city built inside a city (Westlake), it even has a fire department. It is not cheap to live there, but if you can you would have no issues finding a restaurant, shopping, or Coffee house.
Let's not forget the Metro parks and all they have to offer. Metro parks surround Cleveland Metro and it's surrounding cities and are a great place to hike or fish. The woods are full of critters waiting for you to take a picture of. I do that all the time and have even seen a musk rat swimming in a pond. There is a lot of different types of species that the metro parks house. You can even camp in most of the Metro Parks.
Lastly you can cap the night off with a nice night at Playhouse Square and or one of the many movie theaters across Cleveland Metro. I personally do Playhouse Square during Christmas and enjoy the holiday shows that are at Playhouse Square. If you are dining in that area make reservations before you go.
