The rate of homes hitting the housing market a 10-year high

This story comes from https://www.housingwire.com/ and it saying that there are more homes hitting the market.

"“The winter chill extended to the housing market in January, as home sales remained cool,” said RE/MAX CEO Adam Contos. “The good news is that inventory levels in January continued to rise on a year-over-year basis, providing incremental improvement in what’s been a multi-year shortage of for-sale homes. This is a positive for homebuyers, as the market continues to swing their way.”"

Buying a home has been difficult to say the least in that past year. So having more inventory is a good thing. Selling a home at the market price is also a good thing and the days on market is getting lower.

So if you have been stressed about finding a home, this could be great news for you.

2019 will be a consistent real estate market and there will be a lot of buyers and sellers. I also think the Feds will put a hold on interest rate hikes.

January’s 3.9-month supply is higher than last year’s 3.4-month supply"

A average market is around a 4 month supply. The homes that seem to be not selling are luxury homes. These aren't always the ones you see on TV shows, but ones that are above the average price in an certain area.

There are also areas in Cleveland that sell very well right now and have a lot of buyers that need homes. We have several cities like that in Cleveland Ohio area. Remember the inventory of homes per city could be a lot different than another cities.

Having more homes to choose from is a good thing. So if you have been on the fence about buying a home........this might be a great time to do it.
