Buy? Rent? In Cleveland, there's a clear choice, a new analysis finds

"In 17 of the country's 33 largest metropolitan statistical areas, including Cleveland, owning a home is cheaper than renting, according to this analysis from the Washington, D.C.-based Urban Institute."

That is a double winner if you want to own or you do own, you can rent your home and make Money. If you want to buy a home it is cheaper than rent than most Metro cities. Cleveland is all about location, location, location. Knowing the best areas to purchase is key to the success of your real estate portfolio.

"In Cleveland and the two other Ohio metros included in the analysis — Cincinnati and Columbus — the Urban Institute concluded it was cheaper to buy than rent. The "rent gap" was most pronounced in Cleveland, where the Urban Institute says the gap in favor of buying vs. renting is 3.73%, with the share of income devoted to a mortgage at 14.48% while the share of income devoted to rent is 18.21%."
