There is a great way to make sure that you understand what is happening with you real estate. If you are International or out of state you need to know the condition or anything about your real estate. If your rehabbing your need to be updated on the progress of your project.
There is a very easy way to know exactly what progress is being done on your property. Video's are a great way to do that, they are almost free to download on YouTube and are easy to view. You might have to pay a little for the person doing the video, but it gets you informed on your property.
Our clients get update videos like the one below on a weekly basis so that they know their property is getting done. This does two things they can use the videos for insurance. This proves that you did the updating and the second thing is the owner can ask for other items they may want done.
For example a client wanted to update the bathroom a bit more and called and we got that completed.
You can really keep your property in top shape with doing videos on your property every 3-6 months. It also will keep your tenant knowing that you are watching and caring for the home.
So tell your property management and or contractors to get their cameras out and start filming, it's almost free and keeps your best interest in mind. Full disclosure is the key to success in anything in life and especially with international and out of the area real estate investors.
