As a Realtor for the last 20 years, and seeing just about everything that you can see in real estate transactions I have learned how to help Clients with buying, selling and or leasing a property.
Being a Real Estate agent requires a ton of knowledge to not only understand the clients needs, but also understanding the areas that your clients are looking in.
A great example is Lakewood Ohio where I received a call from a person that wanted to know more about a property I had listed. It was under contract but I wanted to educate the out of town buyer with what was important when looking at townhouses in Lakewood Ohio.
Selling lots in Lakewood for s client to build on, I had to do a ton of research to understand what was the most important amenities that created value for the townhouse they wanted to build.
As I spent many hours meeting, talking with contractors, Agents in the area I found out two big items that where important to the value of a townhome.
Townhomes with attached 2 car garages (not tandem garages) and rooftop patios where super important to those types of buyers in Lakewood (and surrounding area).
This is just one of the many parts of real estate that need to be researched and or a Realtor needs to have knowledge on.
Realtors have to learn so much information on local areas that clients I think should know about.
At the end of the day which is usually late a Realtor has to do a lot of research to get their information correct in a real estate transaction.
Thought about one more thing..... Realtors should always have the best interest to the public in mind. I am very happy that I have been in the business for so many years (20) as a real estate agent and a Investor since 1985.
Not always perfect, but always in my clients best interest and taking care of all their Real Estate needs.
